3D Design Class - 8 Weeks

Join our 8-Week Intro to Blender for Concept art class. This intensive course is designed to get you familiar with using Blender as a tool for concept art and guide you through the entire process of building a professional portfolio project structured to simulate an in-house studio pipeline. Instructor: Prashant Pal Course Level: Beginner, Intermediate Prerequisite: Basic 2d skills and familiarity with basic design principles Bonus. Basic knowledge of any 3d software (Blender would be optimal) Weeks 1-4: Individual Period In the first four weeks, you’ll focus on developing a hero prop with callouts. You'll come up with a brief,get familiar with basics of Blender as a tool, explore shape theory and how to approach iterations and ideation for a prop, all in 3D. You'll also learn how to visualize your prop concepts and present them in a professional and appealing way. Weeks 5-8: Group Period The final 4 weeks are dedicated to collaborative projects. Working in teams, you'll put your learnings from the first 4 weeks to use, manage workloads and art direct to create a cohesive environment concept complete with an exterior and interior or create a series of images that tell an interesting and compelling story by coordinating in a group setting. This period will help you develop not only your artistic abilities but also your teamwork and project management skills. Feedback & Live Calls Throughout the course, you'll participate in eight live calls where you'll receive personalized feedback on your work. Additionally, you'll have access to a dedicated learning area on our Discord server, where you can communicate, share progress, and motivate each other around the clock.
